Do you see it?
In this original painting, an American flag flies proudly on the front porch of a traditional white house with a red door and blue shutters. The sun shines through the trees onto pink roses growing in the yard.
If you look closely, you'll see a Gold Star hanging in the window, showing that this family has lost an immediate family member in military service.
What I always notice about Gold Star families is that their patriotism is never diminished because of their loss. In fact, they are the most patriotic people I know, because they believe in the cause that cost their loved one their life. That's why I chose to paint this Americana scene of a Gold Star home.
My original painting measures 11 x 14 x 0.75 inches. I suggest pairing with a maple float frame.
