My backyard garden brings me so much joy, and it gives me a real relationship with the flowers that I paint. Growing them myself and watching every stage of their development helps me study them in a deeper way.
For this painting, I paired my blush and hot pink peonies with a vintage blue and white vase that my mom gave me, and a milk glass vase that I thrifted (although I started my milk glass collection with another hand-me-down piece from my grandmother). I love how the cool colors of the vases play off the warmth of the flowers.
My original acrylic painting is reproduced as a print on high quality paper. The print ships in a tube and will need to be gently flattened and framed.
