Inspired by a coastal South Carolina home, this scene shows native flowers including wisteria, wild geranium, wild indigo, and beach grass. A dragonly hovers over a lemon tree and palm plant.
My take on chinoiserie is completely my own. I learned traditional Chinese painting as a teenager, and now I combine that style of brush strokes with acrylic paint in bold yet elegant compositions.
