![Chinoiserie painting of wisteria and yellow peonies, "Amelia" - 12 x 24](http://elizabethalicestudio.com/cdn/shop/files/IMG_4503copy_{width}x.jpg?v=1683817401)
My take on chinoiserie is completely my own. I use a traditional Chinese painting technique that's usually used with watercolor that uses the shape of the brush to create dramatic strokes (think: Chinese calligraphy). But I pair that method with acrylic paint for a bolder, modern style.
I love pairing birds and flowers because they both have so much movement.
This original acrylic painting on canvas measures 12 x 24 x 0.75 inches. The edges are painted so it can be displayed with or without a frame. It's finished with a UV-protective varnish.
