My original painting is reproduced on a canvas gallery wrap that is ready to hang. Unframed canvas wraps are 1.25" deep with the solid background color continuing around the edge. Frames are 1.75" deep and add to the height and width of the artwork.
My take on chinoiserie is completely my own. I learned traditional Chinese painting as a teenager, and now I combine that style of brush strokes with acrylic paint in bold yet elegant compositions.
Set against an ivory background, purple wisteria vines and yellow flowering peonies frame two birds sitting on a branch.
