My take on chinoiserie is completely my own. I use a traditional Chinese painting technique that's usually used with watercolor that uses the shape of the brush to create dramatic strokes (think: Chinese calligraphy). But I pair that method with acrylic paint for bolder, more modern results.
I also love pairing birds and flowers! They are two subjects with lots of movement.
This painting is 20 x 40 inches, and includes the gold float frame, making the total dimensions about 21 x 41 inches. The frame is wired and ready to hang.
