I love to combine traditional Chinese brush stroke painting with bold colors and textures. In this painting, a blue bird sits on a branch of white peonies and looks at a butterfly flying by. Pink azaleas and some bamboo are contrasted against a bright green-teal background.
My chinoiserie paintings are a blend of both sides of my heritage. Each work is signed with both my American English signature and my red seal.
The canvas measures 12 x 24 inches. The 0.75" deep sides are white. The painting can be displayed framed or unframed. If you plan to frame, I recommend this gold floater frame or this gold bamboo frame.
