My original painting is reproduced on a canvas gallery wrap. The image continues around the edges of the canvas, so it arrives ready to hang, with the option to frame. My take on chinoiserie is completely my own. I learned traditional Chinese painting as a teenager, and now I combine that style of brush strokes with acrylic paint in bold yet elegant compositions.
In shades of blush pink, sage green, and classic blue and white, flowering cherry and peony blossoms frame birds, a hummingbird, and a butterfly. Soft grass, daffodils, and violet flowers frame the bottom of the scene.
