My backyard garden brings me so much joy! I spend the summer tending my garden and growing my relationship with the flowers I paint. I paired peach and pink roses with a treasured little sugar bowl that belonged to my great-grandmother, and placed it on a sunny table in my art studio.
I love to focus on details in the negative space of a painting. As it often happens in life, those in-between, ordinary moments are what gives life meaning and depth.
