The natural oyster shell is 3 3/8" tall. I've painted it with blue bows and scattered dots, and finished the edge with in gold. The reverse side is unpainted. It's sealed with a sturdy satin enamel.
You could also drill a hole in the top of the shell to make it into an ornament!
